Mission

We focus on the development, improvement, and transfer of methods for environmental research. This is achieved through the integrated use of Earth observation (remote sensing) technologies. We also utilize geographic information systems (GIS) and ground-based methods. Training of master’s students, doctoral candidates, and specialists in this field.

Structure

Our department consists of 16 researchers and specialists. It includes four professors, three associate professors, and five senior assistants. There is one assistant who is a PhD student. We also have three specialists with higher education, one of whom is also a PhD student. They represent diverse qualifications, including geographers, landscape ecologists, engineers, a geologist, and an archaeologist.
